Happy Easter

Season 2010 is now just around the corner. There is lots to report so here we go............

Fixtures .......

Fixtures for both Nidderdale Evening League (9 games in total) and the White Rose Sunday League (5 games in total) will be published on here very soon. First game is at the end of April.

There also be some junior cricket - more details to follow.

Practice

Westville House is booked for 4 weeks from Tuesday 6th April at 7 til 9 pm. Please email if you are coming and which weeks. We have to pay for them so we would like to budget. After that we move outside.

Meeting

We are holding an AGM - a start up meeting for the year
at the Sports Club on Wednesday 14th April 7pm. Please attend. We are still looking for volunteers for the committee so please email Sandra for details if interested.

MCC Camp

Following the success of the Ambassador Days last year we have gone 3 better this year. We have been awarded an MCC Camp - this time with 4 of the current England Ladies team. 29th and 30th July so get it your diaries. This is for the whole of Yorkshire and a real coup for the club.

Individual news.

Congratulations tot he BRCC girls selected for West Yorkshire District Sides this summer. Laura Scarlett and Ellie Taylor U15's Tash Sunderland U13 and special plaudits to Hanna Spivey who in addition to being selected at U13 was also selected into the  U15 Pool.

Congratulations to Andrew Jennings on being appointed Bronze Development Centre Director and also becoming a County selector.

Congratulations to all the girls in the Ilkley Grammar U15's Indoor Taverners team - Yorkshire champions again this year and good luck for the North of England finals in April.

Squad

BRCC have signed a Co-operation/Player sharing agreement with Northern Premier League team Old Modernians. (they are based at Cookridge in North Leeds). The plan is that they will send their fringe and developing players to help us out as we develop ourselves and in return we will send them our emerging and gifted players for experience at the highest level where this facilitates their development as cricketers. This arrangement has been co-ordinated via the ECB and Old Mods also have YCC County coaches who will help us make sure that this arrangement benefits all players development.

We have also heard about new players coming to the club which is great news and we continue to recruit. We have nore cricket than last year so there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone to get involved.

Financials....

Subs - level to be agreed at AGM but likely to be £40 (£30 juniors) plus and £8.50 Sports club levy.

Fundraising.

We always need kit and also will need to contribute to the development of the facilities so any ideas for making money.
If you know anyone who might be interested in sponsoring the section , or matchballs or anything how about sounding them out.
